Making a Kegerator from Chest Freezer

After studying many freezer-to-kegerator conversions I was inspired to make my own. I started with a new black Frigidaire 7.2 cu ft chest freezer on sale at Lowes. I made a wood collar to increase space inside and to hold four Perlick beer faucets, installed a temperature controller so that I can use non-freezing temperatures, added casters so that it can be moved, and fastened a CO2 bottle for carbonation on the back. The kegerator holds up to four five-gallon Cornelius kegs with room for a few bottles as well.

Kegerator

This kegerator was featured in the March-April 2011 issue of Brew Your Own Magazine.

I have a detailed build description in my kegerator thread on HomeBrewTalk.com.

The wiring diagram for the kegerator is available here, pdf.
